Zazenkai

Zazenkai is a daylong retreat devoted to samadhi practice, with Great Silence observed throughout the day. This is an opportunity to intensify and deepen your practice through the experience of periods of uninterrupted meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), a dharma talk or seminar, service, mindful work practice, meals, and face-to-face meetings with a teacher. Open to everyone. The schedule is similar to a day of sesshin.

You are encouraged to come for the entire day, although full or part-time participation is welcome. While this is a one-day retreat, preparations usually begin the night before with registration and zazen.

Please arrive timely for the 6:00 a.m. sitting meditation (zazen).
